Reggie Jackson intends to return to the Los Angeles Clippers on a two-year, $22-million contract, his agents confirmed to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
His contract won't contain a team or player option in the second year, according to USA Today's Mark Medina.
The deal is the total amount of money the Clippers could offer the free-agent guard in accordance with the league's collective bargaining agreement, Wojnarowski notes. He was reportedly a top priority for the team this offseason.
Jackson averaged 10.7 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 67 games for the Clippers this past season and was one of their best 3-point shooters, firing at a 43.3% clip from beyond the arc on 4.2 3-point attempts per game.
He was also instrumental in the team's run to its first-ever conference finals appearance, registering 17.8 points per game in 19 playoff contests.
Jackson marks another significant return for the Clippers this offseason; Nicolas Batum reportedly re-signed on a two-year deal days after Serge Ibaka elected to exercise his player option for 2021-22.
Kawhi Leonard, who turned down a $36-million player option to become a free agent, will reportedly re-sign as well and is discussing contract terms with the club. The two-time Finals MVP is likely to miss a significant portion of next season after undergoing surgery to repair a partially torn ACL.
Los Angeles first acquired Jackson midway through the 2019-20 season after he was bought out by the Detroit Pistons. The 31-year-old spent six years in Detroit after beginning his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
