Patty Mills' decade-long stay with the San Antonio Spurs is over.
He's set to join the Brooklyn Nets on a two-year, $12-million deal, the player's agent, Steven Heumann, told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The terms of the deal reportedly include a player option for the second season.
Mills, who is currently starring for semifinalist Australia at the Tokyo Olympics, has been a key contributor off the bench for Gregg Popovich's Spurs since joining the franchise in March 2012.
The 32-year-old will bring a savvy backcourt influence to a Nets team that has been busy through the opening two days of the free-agency period. Brooklyn re-signed Blake Griffin and Bruce Brown to short-term deals and added veteran forward James Johnson on a one-year contract.
Mills and the Boomers will get a close look at his new Nets teammate Kevin Durant when Australia and Team USA square off in a semifinal clash Thursday in the men's Olympic basketball tournament.
