Washington Wizards rookie Deni Avdija's season is over after X-rays revealed a hairline fracture in his right ankle, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Avdija, who suffered the injury late in the first half against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, was taken off the court on a wheelchair before later being ruled out for the remainder of the game.
It's expected the Israeli forward won't require surgery, Wojnarowski adds.
Avdija entered Wednesday's contest averaging 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds through 53 games this season.
The Wizards selected the 20-year-old with the ninth overall pick last year.
