Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker will replace Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis at the All-Star Game on March 7, the NBA announced Wednesday.
As a result, Booker will earn his second career All-Star appearance.
The 24-year-old Suns guard is averaging 24.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds over 26 games this season while shooting 38.1% beyond the arc.
Booker's initial All-Star snub drew strong reactions from several high-profile names, including All-Star captain LeBron James, who called the Kentucky product "the most disrespected player in our league."
Meanwhile, Davis, an eight-time All-Star, will miss out on the midseason exhibition after re-aggravating tendinosis in his Achilles and suffering a calf strain in a Feb. 14 loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers announced he'd be sidelined for four weeks, putting him on pace to return in the second half of the season.
