Report: T-Wolves expected to re-engage trade talks for Rockets' Tucker
P.J. Tucker could be the next Houston Rockets player on the move.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in touch with the Rockets regarding Tucker throughout the season and are expected to re-engage trade talks following James Harden's recent departure, sources told The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski.
Minnesota is surrendering an NBA-worst 54.7 points in the paint per game and would benefit from Tucker's ability to defend power forwards and centers.
The veteran forward is on an expiring deal and has reportedly been unhappy with his current contract situation.
Multiple teams have checked in on Tucker's availability and expressed interest in acquiring him, The Athletic's Kelly Iko reports.
The 35-year-old is averaging six points and 4.6 boards over 10 appearances this season while shooting 55.6% from beyond the arc.
