San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama will receive a signature shoe as part of a contract extension with Nike, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Nike has yet to confirm the big man's signature shoe, but it did showcase an updated Wembanyama logo in a video Friday.

Wembanyama, who's been a Nike athlete since 2022, becomes the seventh active NBA player with a signature shoe from the iconic brand, joining LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Devin Booker, Ja Morant, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, according to The Athletic's Jared Weiss.

The 22-year-old Frenchman is coming off a season that saw him capture the league's Defensive Player of the Year award while leading the Spurs to the NBA Finals.

Earlier in July, Wembanyama signed a five-year, $252-million extension with San Antonio and was revealed to be the NBA 2K27 cover athlete.
