"The Last Dance," a 10-part docuseries chronicling the Michael Jordan-led 1997-98 Chicago Bulls, took home the Emmy award for most outstanding documentary or nonfiction series.
The highly-anticipated series was originally supposed to air in June, but an overwhelming demand from players and fans on social media led to its early release in April.
"The Last Dance" featured interviews and never-released footage from Jordan's last championship campaign. It became the most-watched documentary in ESPN history after averaging 6.1 million viewers for its first two episodes.
"American Masters," "Hillary," "McMillion$," and "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness," were the other nominees.
