Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul, Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony, and retired star Dwyane Wade partnered to launch the Social Change Fund.
The initiative will "support critical and timely issues impacting the Black community," according to its website.

The fund lists "ending police brutality, championing criminal justice reform, enabling economic equity, supporting voting and civic engagement, and advocating for the human rights of all Black lives" as its priorities.
Paul, Anthony, and Wade have been close friends throughout their NBA careers and have been outspoken about using their platform to fight for socioeconomic change.
In 2016, the trio, along with LeBron James, opened the ESPY Awards show with a speech calling for an end to police violence and encouraging athletes to create change in their communities.
