Philadelphia 76ers forward Jaylen Brown says he and teammates LeBron James and Tyrese Maxey have been "building chemistry" during offseason workouts together.
"Got work in," Brown said during a recent Twitch stream. "Building chemistry with the guys. Maxey is a dog. LeBron is the f---king - you don't even need to say what LeBron is. He looks good. Healthy."
Brown added: "We worked out a few times. That's good to get in the gym with your teammates and get a feel for one another."
The Sixers acquired the five-time All-Star in early July as part of a blockbuster trade with the Boston Celtics in exchange for Paul George, first-round picks in 2028 and 2031, and second-round picks in the 2028 and 2030 drafts.
Brown is expected to form a star-studded starting five in Philadelphia alongside fellow newcomer James, Maxey, former MVP Joel Embiid, and All-Rookie first-team selection VJ Edgecombe.
"You can feel the energy level is high," Brown said about the offseason workouts. "The talent is high, and we just gotta come with the right approach."
Brown also recently returned to Boston for his "741 Frequency Fest" block party, where he expressed his gratitude to the city following a decorated 10-year tenure with the Celtics.
"When I got to this city, I said I'm going to go to war for this city," the 2024 Finals MVP told those in attendance.
"I met so many great people here. People that helped me in the community, that motivated me on my journey. People that have supported me even when I didn't support myself at times."
