The NBA has set a transaction window for all 30 teams that will last from 12 p.m. ET on June 23 until 11:59 p.m. ET on June 30, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.

Teams will be able to sign players to contracts for the rest of the 2019-20 season, make any necessary player substitutions, sign two-way contracts, and place players on waivers during the window, Charania reports.

However, trades will not be permitted, according to Yahoo Sports' Keith Smith.

Additionally, the NBA draft will be held on Oct. 16, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The league previously announced the draft was set to take place on Oct. 15.

New reported dates:

Event Dates
Transaction window June 23-30
Early draft entry deadline Aug.17
Early entry withdrawal deadline Oct. 6
NBA draft Oct.16
Start of free agency Oct. 18
Moratorium period Oct. 19-23

The new draft entry deadline gives college and international players an extended period to declare for the process, though it's unclear if any will take advantage of the delay, according to ESPN's Jonathan Givony. The previous cutoff date to declare for the draft - then still planned for June - was April 26.

If a college athlete enters their name into the draft but later changes their mind and wishes to maintain eligibility, they must still withdraw no later than the Aug. 3 deadline announced earlier this month by the NCAA.

As was the case in 2019, free-agency negotiations will be allowed to commence at 6 p.m. ET, reports Wojnarowski. The NBA bumped up the time from its usual midnight slot last year to allow players and executives to meet at a more reasonable hour.
