Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley tested negative for COVID-19, he announced Monday.

"I've received my COVID-19 test results this morning and they are negative," Barkley said in a statement obtained by The New York Times' Marc Stein. "I'd like to thank everyone for reaching out and expressing your concern and support. You all be safe and please take the necessary actions to help ensure your well-being."

A day after the NBA suspended the 2019-20 season, Barkley was set to appear on a special edition of TNT's "Inside the NBA." However, the basketball analyst was advised to self-quarantine and undergo testing for the coronavirus after showing symptoms.

Since the league halted play, there have been 14 confirmed cases in the NBA. Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is among five players known to have tested positive for the new virus.
