Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton had the game of his life in the club's 136-130 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
The SMU product knocked down his first five triples to tie the NBA record for most consecutive 3-pointers made, according to Elias Sports Bureau.
Milton joined Brent Price and Terry Mills as the only players in league history to drill 13 straight attempts from distance. He finished the game 7-of-9 from downtown.
The 23-year-old entered Sunday's contest having made eight consecutive shots from beyond the arc over his past two games.
With stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons out of the lineup due to injury, Milton dropped a career-high 39 points on 14-of-20 shooting while also adding five assists and three boards. He has started the past four games for Philadelphia, recording 21.3 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.8 boards per contest during that span.
Milton was averaging 7.6 points and shooting 43% from deep prior to Sunday's game. He was selected 54th overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 draft before being dealt to the Sixers.
Milton spent the majority of the 2018-19 campaign with the Delaware Blue Coats, posting the G League's fourth-best scoring average (24.9) across 27 appearances.
