The New York Knicks are exercising their 2020-21 team option on point guard Frank Ntilikina worth $6.3 million, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

After playing just 43 games in 2018-19 due to injury, Ntilikina represented France at the FIBA World Cup this past summer and averaged eight points and 2.5 assists, helping Les Bleus secure bronze.

The 21-year-old was drafted eighth overall by the Knicks in 2017. He was named their starting point guard to begin the 2018-19 season but was replaced in the lineup by Emmanuel Mudiay after just 14 games.

Ntilikina averaged 5.7 points, 2.8 assists, and two rebounds in his sophomore campaign and reportedly even attracted trade interest. However, he played in just two of the Knicks' final 34 games last season due to a groin issue.
