Toronto mayor John Tory offered his support to Drake amid criticism of the rapper's courtside behavior during the NBA Eastern Conference finals.

Tory praised Drake's commitment to the city and the Raptors while speaking to reporters Friday.

"I want to thank Drake," Tory said. "There is no one more committed to this city than he is in many different ways. He's terribly committed to the Raptors. It's coming from his heart and not from anywhere else, and I think if it causes some degree of aggravation for the Bucks and their fans and the people of Milwaukee, all in the spirit of good competition, so be it."

Drake drew the ire of Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer after he was seen laughing at Giannis Antetokounmpo for missing a free throw and giving Raptors head coach Nick Nurse a quick shoulder rub late in Game 4.

The founder of the agency that represents Antetokounmpo also called out Drake for being "disrespectful."
