The Atlanta Hawks are following in the footsteps of the neighboring Falcons by significantly lowering concession prices on some items at Phillips Arena. The team announced Thursday that a dozen items will now cost between $1 and $5.

The NFL's Falcons introduced a similar pricing scheme and have reportedly seen an uptick in overall concession sales. "In the aggregate it's better business," Hawks president Steve Koonin told ESPN's Darren Rovell. "People think so positively about the food."

Both Phillips Arena and the Falcons' Mercedes-Benz Stadium license their concessions to Levy's Restaurants. Phillips Arena is in the process of undergoing a $192-million renovation that includes the addition of a courtside bar and a concourse barbershop.
