With the exception of his rookie year with the Detroit Pistons, Andre Drummond has finished either first or second in the league in rebounds per game every season of his career.
So when he saw a tweet Sunday suggesting that Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams might be the league's best rebounder if he didn't have to play alongside Russell Westbrook, Drummond tried to shut that argument down immediately.

Drummond averaged a career-best 16 boards in 2017-18, good enough for first overall. Adams contributed nine per game (13th) for the Thunder, while Westbrook sat 10th with 10.1 per game.
Westbrook is the only player besides Oscar Robertson to ever average a triple-double for a season, and the only player to accomplish that feat two years in a row. His desire to reach that milestone frequently led the former Most Valuable Player to hunt for boards, perhaps hurting Adams' stats in the process.
