Queens native Kyle O'Quinn wasted no time taking a shot at his hometown and now former team.
The 6-foot-10 reserve center was introduced by the Indiana Pacers on Monday afternoon, and told reporters why he passed up New York's offer and made the move to the midwest after signing a reported one-year, $4.5 million deal.
"I wanted to play for something more than next year's draft." O'Quinn told reporters, according to Charlie Clifford of WISH.
After averaging a career-best 7.1 points and 6.1 rebounds in 18 minutes per game last season, O'Quinn will join the Pacers' up-and-coming young core, while the Knicks appear destined for their fifth straight draft lottery.
