Nowitzki passes Kidd to move into 4th on all-time minutes list

Dirk Nowitzki sure has played a lot of basketball.
During the first half of Friday's game between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center, Nowitzki moved past his former teammate Jason Kidd to secure fourth place on the NBA's all-time minutes played list.

Friday also marked the 39-year-old's 1,452nd career appearance during the regular season. With 23 games left in the 2017-18 campaign, Nowitzki needs to suit up 10 more times to tie Garnett for fifth on the all-time games played list.
He entered Friday's road matchup averaging 12.3 points and 5.7 rebounds on 46.2 percent shooting in his 20th year with the Mavericks organization.
