Cavs' Thomas takes issue with 'Isaiah who?' headline in Kyrie story

While Kyrie Irving is undoubtedly playing outstanding basketball for the red-hot Boston Celtics, especially in the clutch, it shouldn't erase what former guard Isaiah Thomas did for the team a year ago.

After being made aware of a recent story by ESPN's Chris Forsberg with the headline "Isaiah Who? Why Kyrie Irving is Boston's new king of clutch time," Thomas chimed in on Twitter to seemingly call out Forsberg for what he believes to be a poor choice of words.

In the piece, Forsberg compares Thomas' clutch production (final five minutes of a game within five points) from his 2016-17 campaign with the Celtics to what Irving is doing this season. While Thomas' numbers during such stretches were truly superb, Irving's have been slightly better.

Forsberg eventually responded to Thomas' tweet, admitting that while he doesn't actually come up with headlines for his stories, he'll still take the heat on this occasion.

Thomas had a career year averaging 28.9 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.7 rebounds for the 53-win Celtics. He was traded to Cleveland over the summer in a package for Irving, and has yet to take the floor as he continues his recovery from a hip injury.
