Marcus Morris cleared to make Celtics debut vs. Thunder

As it turns out, both of the Morris twins will make their season debut Friday.

Marcus Morris will play his first game with the Boston Celtics against the Oklahoma City Thunder after recovering from knee soreness.

"He's ready to roll," head coach Brad Stevens said. "He's been antsy to play now for a little bit."

The 28-year-old forward, who was traded to the Celtics from the Detroit Pistons over the offseason, will don No. 13 in green.

Rookie Jayson Tatum has been starting in his stead for the C's, who sit atop the East at 6-2. Morris averaged 14 points, 4.6 rebounds, and two assists over 79 games last year in Detroit.

He'll make his season debut just hours after his twin makes his for the Washington Wizards. Markieff was sidelined with a sports hernia injury and served a suspension.

"That's crazy … You got a better chance of hitting the lottery," Marcus told reporters of the coincidence.
