The Utah Jazz may be filled with young talent, but that didn't stop them from turning to their 35-year-old small forward with the game on the line.
"Iso Joe" played the hero Saturday night, leading the Jazz to a Game 1 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers with a high-arcing layup as time expired. Johnson was dominant throughout the contest, scoring 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting, while chipping in three rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a block in the 97-95 win.
The victory was particularly important for the Jazz, who managed to steal a game on the road after losing Rudy Gobert to a knee injury early in the opening quarter. Utah managed to slow down the pace without its defensive anchor, holding the NBA's fourth-best offense to under 100 points.
