The first overall pick hit a snag during his first training camp.
Philadelphia 76ers' prized rookie Ben Simmons was taken for a precautionary scan on Friday, after rolling his right ankle during a team scrimmage.
The hyper-athletic Simmons announced Monday during 76ers Media Day that he'd added 33 pounds, going from 217 to 250 since the 2016 NBA draft. It's unclear if the weight gain factored into his injury.
Simmons, a prodigal talent out of LSU, will be looked upon as Philadelphia's point guard of the future.
