Report: Kings working out Klay Thompson's brother, Mychel
The Sacramento Kings must want their own edition of the Splash Brothers.
On the heels of employing Seth Curry last season, the Kings are now bringing in Mychel Thompson - older brother of Klay Thompson - for a workout, international reporter David Pick relays.
Mychel, a 6-foot-7 shooting guard out of Pepperdine University, went undrafted as a senior in 2011 and has bounced around the minor leagues since. He's suited up for three D-League clubs, including two stints with the Santa Cruz Warriors - the Golden State Warriors' affiliate.
In 14 games for Santa Cruz last season, Thompson averaged 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 29.1 minutes, but shot an abysmal 39.7 percent from the floor and 32.1 percent from deep.
Even if Thompson made the Kings, there would be no bizarre Splash Brothers remake. Curry had a rough time in Sacramento, before signing with the Dallas Mavericks in free agency this summer.
