LeBron opposes Cavs complaining to NBA about hard fouls

Ken Blaze / USA TODAY Sports

Despite his Cleveland Cavaliers cruising to a comfortable 107-90 win, LeBron James was in a bit of a tizzy during Game 2 against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

James went off on the officials in the fourth quarter after taking consecutive elbows from Andre Drummond and Marcus Morris, neither of which drew a whistle.

Still, James doesn't exactly want the Cavs taking any extreme measures where the Pistons' physicality is concerned.

Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters Thursday that the team was considering filing a complaint to the NBA office - complete with video evidence - about the unnecessary fouls.

James, though, seemingly dissuaded them from doing so, saying the Pistons aren't targeting him and that he didn't want to get the league office involved.

"Even if they are (targeting), that's not even what I'm concerned about," he said Friday. "My concern is I've got to continue to be aggressive, put pressure on their defense, continue to find my guys when they're open and continue to defend and help my guys on the glass with big Drummond. So I hope we don't send anything into the league because it’s not about that."

A source told ESPN's Dave McMenamin that no video has been submitted for review.
