Analysis:The Joe Gibbs Racing driver would start on the outside pole and battle among the leaders for the full race. Briscoe would finish runner-up in stage 1 and that would be a preview of things to come. The driver of the No. 19 Toyota would take the lead from Christopher Bell and lead the final 61 laps to the checkered flag, but he would have to fend off a strong challenge from Bell. Briscoe would only win by half a car length at the stripe for the closest finish of the season in the Cup Series. It was Briscoe's third victory of the season and eighth-career win.
