Byron was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 182.235 mph.
Analysis:Not only would Byron lead the session with the single fastest lap but he would also lead the 10 lap averages and showed a very consistent and fast Chevrolet. He would edge Kyle Larson for the fastest lap of this lone session ahead of pole qualifying. Byron looks like a Top-5 threat for Sunday's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
