Bell started Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Anduril 250 at Naval Base Coronado, but was replaced by Brent Crews at the first caution.

Bell's wrist injury, coupled with the demands of a road course race, would lead him to get out of the car at the first caution. He was replaced by Joe Gibbs Racing NOAPS driver Brent Crews. After an engine failure for Crews, Bell was scored with a 39th-place finish. With Sonoma, another road course, next on the schedule, it's possible that Bell's wrist injury could once again cause him to not run the full race.
