Smith brought his No. 38 truck home fifth in the DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.
Analysis:
Smith was part of a five-truck battle for the win in the final stage of Saturday's race, but he was never able to make it all the way to the front of the field. Still, it was a consistent day for Smith, who started in the Top 5 and ran there for most of the day, picking up Top-5 stage points in both stages. The Truck Series is now off for a week before visiting Naval Base Coronado for the third street/road course race of the season. Smith was fourth in St. Petersburg and fifth at Watkins Glen.
