Ryan Blaney: Inks long-term contract with Penske

Blaney and Team Penske have agreed to a long-term contract extension for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion to continue driving the No. 12 Ford Mustang with support from Menards, the team announced on Wednesday.

Analysis:

Blaney was the biggest upcoming free agent on the market and Team Penske delivered a significant investment to keep one of the top talents in the sport in the No. 12 machine. Blaney has won 17 races since joining Penske in 2018. Through 11 races this season he has a win at Phoenix and sits fourth in the Cup Series standings.
