Dana White: Herb Dean 'did a horrible job in the 5th round' of Jones vs. Cormier

When UFC president Dana White has an opinion, it's only a matter of time before everyone knows about it.

Following Saturday's thrilling Light Heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, White was critical of veteran referee Herb Dean's handling of the clinch-heavy final round.

"Herb Dean, I always talk about him; I think he's my favorite referee," White told UFC on FOX, as relayed by MMAMania's Adam Guillen Jr. "He did a horrible job in the fifth round. He let them clinch, literally for five minutes, but other than that, it was an amazing fight."

It's unsurprising that White would call out an official. He's been quite vocal about his distaste for decisions made by referees like Dan Miragliotta and Steve Mazzagatti in the past, and was likely looking for a Jones/Cormier finish in light of the parade of decision victories that littered the main card of the UFC's first show of 2015.
