Welterweight champion Islam Makhachev will defend his title against top contender Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330 on Aug. 15, the promotion announced Wednesday.

Gillian Robertson will challenge strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern in the co-main event at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.

Makhachev (28-1) is set to defend the 170-pound division title for the first time since scoring a unanimous decision win over Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 in November 2025. The 34-year-old previously held the lightweight title, successfully defending the belt in four consecutive matches before moving up in weight class. The UFC's top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter has won 16 straight bouts dating back to his lone defeat in 2015.

Garry (17-1) has been vocal about his desire to compete against Makhachev. The Irishman's undefeated record was snapped by Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 in December 2024 following 15 consecutive wins. He's since secured back-to-back victories via decision over Belal Muhammad and Carlos Prates.

Dern (16-5) will put her belt on the line after defeating Virna Jandiroba at UFC 321 for the strawweight title. The Brazilian has won each of her past three fights, including a submission victory over Amanda Ribas in January 2025.

Robertson (17-8), the fifth-ranked fighter in the 115-pound division, has won five consecutive fights, including a decision victory over Amanda Lemos in March.
