Conor McGregor gave insight Tuesday into his contract situation with the UFC, revealing he has two fights remaining on his deal and already knows when the final bout will occur.
"Right now, I am contracted, and I have both dates," McGregor told Yahoo Sports' Ariel Helwani. "I have both dates for my fights. I have July 11. ... When would you think they would put me back in? ... April 2027."
McGregor will return to the Octagon on July 11 in a welterweight fight against Max Holloway at UFC 329, marking his first fight since breaking his leg at UFC 264 in a loss against Dustin Poirier in 2021. He was scheduled to face Michael Chandler in June 2024, but he pulled out of the bout due to an injury.
The 37-year-old expressed frustration with his current setup on Tuesday, saying he would've liked the final bout on his contract to come in 2026 rather than wait eight months to fight again.
"It's almost a year later. That's ridiculous to me. I think, No? ... This is the way the contract was done. ... I have my second date in April 2027."
He added, "I'm like, 'Huh? Just give me the f-----g contract.' It gets to that stage. I have July 11. It's only around the corner. That's positivity; that's happiness. I got the date. I feel great. Bring it on. The Mac is back, and I'm going to put on a show."
McGregor faced off against Holloway back in 2013 in just his second UFC fight, earning a unanimous decision victory.
