A heavyweight bout between top-10 contenders Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura is set for UFC 298 on Feb. 17 in Anaheim, the promotion announced Tuesday.
Tuivasa, a fan favorite who fights out of Australia, is looking to bounce back from a three-fight losing streak. The knockout artist is coming off a submission defeat via Ezekiel choke to Alexander Volkov at UFC 293 in September and hasn't been victorious since knocking out Derrick Lewis in February 2022.
That win capped a five-fight winning streak and put Tuivasa into title contention. He was ranked No. 5 in the division before losing to Volkov and now sits at No. 9.
Tybura is also hoping to get back on track after suffering a 73-second knockout loss to current interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall in the main event of July's UFC London. That result snapped a two-fight winning streak for the Polish fighter. Tybura is ranked No. 10 at heavyweight.
UFC 298 features a featherweight title bout between champion Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria, as well as a pivotal bantamweight tilt between Merab Dvalishvili and Henry Cejudo.
