Robbie Lawler is pulling out of his fight against Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC 282 on Saturday due to an undisclosed injury, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Ponzinibbio will now fight Alex Morono at a catchweight of 180 pounds instead, reports Danny Segura and Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie.
It's the second time that a scheduled meeting between Lawler and Ponzinibbio has been scrapped after the latter pulled out of a 2019 fight.
Lawler was coming into the event with just one victory over his last six UFC appearances. Ponzinibbio was also looking to get back on track after dropping his last two fights.
Morono last fought in July at UFC 277, defeating Matthew Semelsberger via unanimous decision. The 32-year-old is on a four-fight win streak.
