Report: Hardy's return vs. Greene targeted for Oct. 31
The UFC is working to finalize a heavyweight bout between Greg Hardy and Maurice Greene on Oct. 31, sources told MMA Junkie's Nolan King and Mike Bohn.
A location for the event has not yet been determined.
Hardy, a former NFL player who crossed over to MMA in 2017, is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Yorgan De Castro at UFC 249 in May. Before that, "The Prince of War" fell short to top contender Alexander Volkov. Hardy holds a 3-2 (1 NC) record in the promotion.
Greene snapped a two-fight skid by submitting Gian Villante at a UFC Fight Night card in June. The 34-year-old had previously suffered stoppage losses to Aleksei Oleinik and Sergei Pavlovich. Greene is 4-2 under the UFC banner.
The UFC has not yet announced the Halloween event. The only other fight that's been reported is a light heavyweight clash between Dustin Jacoby and Justin Ledet.
