Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens will run back their no-contest from UFC Mexico City in the co-main event of UFC Boston on Oct. 18, the promotion's president, Dana White, told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
While the featherweight bout is not yet finalized, both sides want the rematch.
UFC Mexico City's main event lasted just 15 seconds, as it was stopped when Stephens couldn't continue after being poked in the eye by Rodriguez.
Immediately after the fight, Rodriguez (11-2, 1 NC) seemingly questioned whether Stephens (28-16, 1 NC) was truly hurt enough for the bout to be called off.
The bad blood between the two 145-pound fighters boiled over in a hotel confrontation the following day.
Footage of the altercation surfaced Tuesday. In it, Rodriguez is seen approaching Stephens, who then shoved his opponent after a brief inaudible conversation. The two then exchanged a series of profanity-laced taunts at one another, which included homophobic slurs.
UFC Boston is set to be headlined by a light heavyweight clash between Dominick Reyes and former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman.
