Andrea Pirlo is, by all accounts, making the move to MLS and New York City FC this summer. But it's not quite done yet, despite what the expansion club would have had you think Tuesday night.
Images surfaced late in the evening showing that the club had listed the 36-year-old midfielder on its website, which seemed to signal that the protracted transfer from Juventus was indeed complete.
The image was quickly deleted, but new reports Wednesday claim official confirmation of the deal is imminent:
It's happening, friends. We can celebrate with some fine wine together.
