Caleb Humphreys is making a name for himself.

The 19-year-old Kansas City Royals fan immediately became famous during the second inning of the American League Championship Series with his controversial catch of Mike Moustakas' home run.

It was his interview later in the game with reporter Erin Andrews, however, that made Humphreys an Internet sensation when he wasn't truthful about where he caught the ball.

"No. I was pretty far back. I was five inches back. I was back," Humphreys later told Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star.

The controversy is reminiscent of the Jeffrey Maier incident that occurred in Game 1 of the 1996 ALCS that helped the New York Yankees defeat the Baltimore Orioles, en route to an eventual World Series title.

In typical Internet fashion, Humphreys became a meme, while leaving his stamp on the ALCS for the remainder of time.
