Report: Orioles not among 8-10 teams negotiating with Andrew Miller
There's no shortage of suitors for left-handed reliever Andrew Miller, one of the top relievers available in free agency, but working out a new deal with the Baltimore Orioles isn't in the offing for the 29-year-old this winter.
Miller is currently negotiating with eight to 10 teams, but an industry source told Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun that the Orioles are not among them.
Miller thrived in Baltimore after joining the club at the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, as the former first-round pick authored a 1.35 ERA with a 0.60 WHIP while notching a 47.2 percent strikeout rate over 23 appearances. Though Miller was an integral member of the club's bullpen during the latter stages of the season and into the playoffs, the Orioles were unwilling to offer Miller the four-year deal he's reportedly seeking.
