The Toronto Blue Jays are "one of a few" teams interested in acquiring Cleveland Indians shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera before Thursday's non-waiver trade deadline, per CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.
With Jose Reyes manning short, Cabrera would be shifted to second base with the Blue Jays, who have unable to find production or steady defense at the position for the past several seasons.
However, in the midst of another down season, Cabrera is hardly an improvement in the field and wouldn't necessary be a significant upgrade offensively.

Heyman notes that Cabrera's expiring contract should help lure the Blue Jays, who reportedly cannot take on "significant money" in a trade.
The Giants are also rumored to have interest, talking with the Indians about Cabrera this week, per FOX Sports' Jon Morosi.
