Latest MLB Trade Rumors: Phillies 'want the world' for Hamels; Mariners, O's have called about Lester

The MLB non-waiver trade deadline is set for Thursday, July 31 at 4 p.m. ET, and many big names remain in play for general managers around the league. Will the Red Sox trade Jon Lester? Will David Price be a member of the Rays come Thursday? These are questions we hope to have answered this week.

Here are the latest trade rumors from around the league.

  • The Tampa Bay Rays open the week just 4.5 games back for the final American League Wild Card spot, and they haven't indicated if they will be buyers or sellers at the deadline. If they sell, the Giants will reportedly be 'ready to act' if they decide to trade Ben Zobrist.
  • The David Price to Chicago (Cubs) rumors can likely stop for now. Bob Nightengale reports the Cubs have "zero interest" in trading for the left-hander at this time.
  • The Arizona Diamondbacks are reportedly open to trading more veterans at the deadline. They already moved pitchers Brandon McCarthy to the Yankees and Joe Thatcher to the Angels.
  • The Cleveland Indians are in contention for the final American League Wild Card spot, but are "willing" to move Justin Masterson via trade.
