Former New York Yankees manager Joe Torre, who guided the club to four World Series championships in 12 seasons at the helm, will have his No. 6 uniform retired during a ceremony at Monument Park Aug. 23, the club announced Thursday.
With Torre's No. 6 being retired, Yankees will never have anyone wear any number 1-through-10 again after Derek Jeter's final game.
