The Toronto Blue Jays traded relief pitcher Tommy Nance to the Minnesota Twins for prospect Ryan Sprock, sources told Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith.

Nance has posted a 3.82 ERA and a 1.273 WHIP with 34 strikeouts in 33 innings this season. The right-hander has been extremely effective against right-handed batters, limiting them to a .159/.205/.261 slash line.

The 35-year-old enjoyed a career year in 2025, helping the Blue Jays win the American League East with a 1.99 ERA across 31.2 innings.

Nance is under team control until 2030.

Sprock, 21, has hit .297/.427/.428 with five home runs, 38 RBIs, and 14 stolen bases in the minors this season while playing catcher, third base, and outfield. The Twins selected him in the eighth round of the 2025 MLB Draft out of Elon University.
