The Toronto Blue Jays activated designated hitter George Springer from the injured list Wednesday, the team announced.

Springer wasn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox but came into the game as a pinch hitter in the fifth inning and delivered an RBI single.

The veteran slugger had been sidelined since April 11 with a fractured big toe.

Springer is hitting .185/.290/.370 with two home runs and six RBIs this season after a resurgent 2025 campaign where he posted a .959 OPS and received downballot MVP votes.

The Blue Jays designated DH Eloy Jiménez for assignment to clear a roster spot for Springer's return.
