Boston Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story and chief baseball officer Craig Breslow appear to be on the same page again following a tough conversation after the dismissal of Alex Cora and members of his coaching staff on Saturday.

"Yeah, we talked. Baseball is a crazy game. It's a business at the end of the day. We talked, and, obviously, those conversations will stay between us," Story told NESN on Monday.

"We talked about it. We hashed it out," Story added.

Story made his feelings known after Boston's sweeping coaching changes, saying he felt the club's direction was "up in the air." The two-time All-Star added that he wasn't satisfied with how the front office handled a team meeting following the dismissals.

However, Story said Monday that his conversation with Breslow changed his view and that he's now focused on a similar goal to his boss.

"Obviously, you heard yesterday how I felt about the whole situation. It's part of the process, having these tough conversations. ... At the end of the day, we agreed we want the Red Sox to win," Story said.

The Red Sox are 2-0 since Cora's firing and are set to take on the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre on Tuesday.
