New York Yankees outfielder Trent Grisham, Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff, Chicago Cubs left-hander Shota Imanaga, and Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres accepted the one-year, $22.025-million qualifying offer to return to their respective teams in 2026.
The 13 players who received qualifying offers from their clubs had until Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET deadline to decide whether to accept the qualifying offer.

Prior to 2025, only 14 players accepted qualifying offers since the system was introduced in 2012. The total of four players this year is a record, beating the previous mark of three in 2015.
Grisham hit 34 homers with 74 RBIs and an .811 OPS over 143 games in a breakout season. Woodruff authored a 3.20 ERA with 11.6 K/9 over 64 2/3 innings (12 starts). Imanaga posted a 3.73 ERA with 7.3 K/9 across 144 2/3 innings (25 starts). And Torres went deep 16 times with 74 RBIs and a .745 OPS in 145 contests.
The players who declined remain free agents and will be attached to draft compensation. Those players can still re-sign with their 2025 club, but any team signing a major leaguer attached to a qualifying offer forfeits a 2026 draft pick to the club that lost the player. The draft pick is decided based on the value of the contract, if the signing team exceeded the competitive balance tax in 2025, and if the club receives revenue sharing.
