San Francisco Giants outfielder Harrison Bader will get an MRI on his left foot after suffering an injury in a scooter accident Saturday night/early Sunday morning, the team said Tuesday, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area.
Bader has already been sidelined for two months with plantar fasciitis in the same foot.
The 32-year-old is slashing .170/.198/.358 with five homers over 30 games this season after joining the Giants on a two-year, $20.5-million deal in the offseason.
San Francisco received more bad news Tuesday, as utility man Casey Schmitt landed on the 10-day injured list with a torn meniscus in his left knee, per Pavlovic. The 27-year-old sustained the injury during Monday's win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Schmitt will likely miss the rest of the season, according to Pavlovic.
The 27-year-old was enjoying a breakout campaign, going deep a career-high 21 times with 55 RBIs and a .784 OPS across 98 contests.
The Giants also announced right-hander Trevor McDonald needs UCL reconstruction surgery next week. The rookie authored a 5.12 ERA with 4.28 FIP and 7.3 K/9 in 70 1/3 innings (14 starts) in 2026.
