Bubic was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left rotator cuff strain Sunday.
His injury doesn't require surgery but does need extended rest, according to Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star.
Bubic is expected to have a normal offseason, McDowell adds.
The 27-year-old was in the midst of a career year with a 2.55 ERA and 2.85 FIP in 116 1/3 innings.
