GIF: Alex Rodriguez breaks MLB grand slam record
In the seventh inning of Friday night's game, Alex Rodriguez despoited a 92 MPH offering from George Kontos into the right-centerfield seats.

That is some easy power, right there.
The shot was an historic one, giving Rodriguez more grand slams than any other player in baseball history:
A-Rod just hit his 24th career grand slam, breaking a tie with Lou Gehrig for the most in baseball history.

It also happened to be the 654th home run of Rodriguez' career, leaving him just six back of Willie Mays for fourth all time.
And most importantly, the grand slam gave the Yankees a 5-1 lead over the Giants. The Yankees have their backs against the wall in the race for a wild card spot, making every game a must-win.
