The Milwaukee Brewers and right-hander Brandon Woodruff agreed to a two-year contract, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Financial details haven't been reported.
The Brewers non-tendered the two-time All-Star in November. He's expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2024 season after undergoing shoulder surgery in October.
"It's just going to be big to have him around this year in whatever capacity ... and then hopefully have him again next year ready to go," teammate Christian Yelich said Monday, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Woodruff, 31, owns a 3.10 ERA with 1.05 WHIP and 10.4 K/9 across 680 1/3 innings (115 starts) over his seven-year career with the Brewers.
